He's so good to me

God is so good to me. He brought Dida into my world and allowed me to spend my life with him. Pretty ok, in my book.

Poor Dida has torn his knee ligament. This after 2 bouts of stomach bug, 2 rounds of hurting his back and a couple of other ailments- all in the last 3 months...

I am many (nice & wonderful) things but I am not a nurse. The small well of mercy I possess has run dry. Tiredness, work, running a house and the loving demands of two very small people have drained my well.  He remarked without a shred of sarcasm that he obviously did not marry Florence Nightingale. No, darling you really didn't. (BTW his is your cue not to judge me, haha!)

Still.

Dida is wonderful. He has a much bigger well of mercy than me. He is loving and kind and I am so blessed to be his wife. He's an amazing Dad too and the smallies adore him. And he loves me for who I am. Many things but not a nurse!!!

I SO get that - it's the same in this house, I am SO not a nurse. Hubby has much more mercy and compassion for me when I am sick, than I do for him when he is sick! I am glad to hear we're not the only household like this - I feel guilty sometimes *grin*!

"poor you guys!" (that's about as merciful as I get!)The only job I'd get in a hospital is the hard women serving up the rubbish cafeteria slosh.

Gosh I so relate to this. I'm not known for my bedside manner either. I do think it's cos we pour so much of our energy into the littlies wellbeing that it's really hard to muster up any more for our big guys when the time comes!!

A good opportunity to call on our never ending source of compassion and mercy for Him to give us a little extra to put into the tank though hey!!!

You're the only one I know in new Zealand...hope you and your family are safe and unharmed. You may not be anywhere near the earthquake but check in when you get a chance and let us geographically-challenged Americans know you're ok! Praying for all in NZ.

Poor guy. (And you) I do ok with illnesses and such the first few days, but I get weary quickly when it seems to go on and on. Gives me a new appreciation for those with chronic illness. God is good though, I will pray for you guys.
